Great Family Thanksgiving Getaway

We were two families together for a relaxing Thanksgiving weekend........the whole cottage was perfect for our family.....just the right amount of space.........the right amount of quiet........the right amount of fun. We had a small problem with the hot water but the owner was easy to reach and quickly made it right. Better instructions for the microwave were needed for us simple folk. We would love to return for either a summer vacation or winter for a ski vacation

I recently rented this cottage for a girls weekend, and we all loved it! It was peaceful and quiet setting, set amongst the forest and lake. We had a great time, and will probably make it a yearly event!

Great place for relax

We were a party of 7 adults (2 visitors from Europe) and we all had a memorable time. The cottage setting, the decor and all the amenities made our weekend getaway very unique. We loved the all-wood interior, the fireplace, the BBQ and the comfort like in our home. We will definitely return on another occasion and recommend this place to our friends and family.

This cottage is the perfect luxury getaway for your family, when you want the space to share with extended family and friends

The Crow's Nest "first impression" when we opened the door was "grande" to say the least. Our first view when we opened the door was through to the lake and the kids were so excited by the space. The "log cabin" interior made everything feel cozy. The open concept and pool table allowed us hours of family time without feeling crowded. There seemed to be something for everyone to do so the kids stayed busy and the adults could relax. The loft where the TV was located was a favourite hangou t for the kids too. It was a special week being able to bring together my family, my parents and my in-laws all under the same roof. The lake was beautiful and we fished, rode on the Seadoos, took out my dad's fishing boat, used the aluminum boat and canoe! We did it all! During our stay the weather was very warm and humid so the lake was our escape. The bugs weren't bad either. Unfortunately the doors onto the upper deck did not have screens so we did find it difficult to cool the cottage down during the hottest part of our stay. It would have made all the difference. Also, we found it difficult to keep our food separated in the fridge and cupboards from the owners. The final suggestion is to remove washer/dryer from the list of ammenities as the washer definitely didn't appear to be hooked up. Other than those 3 suggestions, we would recommend this cottage to anyone and we had an amazing family vacation. Thanks Crow's Nest!
