This was our 5th stay at Belle Wood and once again we thoroughly enjoyed the cottage, lake and spectacular sunsets. The property is well maintained with all kitchen prep items, firm beds, water toys and lifejackets. The wifi is consistent and so is the air conditioning. This is wonderful cottage to escape, relax in nature, and host friends. We will definitely be back next year.

We have been coming to Belle Woods for years now. That says it all. The place is beautiful. It is one of the very few places available that is both cat friendly and has air conditioning. The lake and the view is amazing, the kitchen well stocked, and the overall place as comfortable as can be. The addition of a canoe this year made it even better.

This is our 4th time at this cottage and it's always the perfect choice. West facing means long days and gorgeous sunsets. The cottage is also on a bay which means calmer water and more privacy. The cottage itself is fully equipped with everything you need to enjoy summer. Beds are all super comfy! Linens and towels provided too. We hope to return again and again!

This was our sixth time at this cottage. That says it all. We wouldn't return so regularly if it wasn't an amazing getaway. The place is clean and beautiful with an amazing view. Both waking up in the morning and looking out on the lake and watching the sunset over the lake at the end of the day are priceless. The house is large, spacious with comfortable beds. Add the call of the loons and it's a terrific week away.

We have now stayed at Belle Wood for the second year in a row. The cottage has everything you could need or want. Located 2-hours from Toronto, 15 minutes from Minden with 2 grocery stores and basic shops. There is a strong WiFi signal and consistent A/C throughout, super comfy mattresses and bedding, plus a kitchen filled with anything you could need. The outdoor dining table faces the sunset for an orange haze as the day ends. The cottage is located in a bay for added quiet and calm waters. It's our favourite getaway for sure!

Our stay at Belle Wood Cottage was wonderful. I'll give it a 9/10 only because there was construction on a cottage right next door that really dampened the peacefulness of our getaway, but this was no fault of Belle Wood Cottage. Thankfully they quit early most days. Other than that, everything about our stay was wonderful. The inlet setting was peaceful with very little boat traffic, the dock was west facing so all day sun (the umbrella on the dock was most appreciated!), and the water is deep and clear for diving off the dock. If stairs are an issue for you, this is not the cottage for you - there are multiple stairs to get down to the water from the cottage - but after a day or two we got used to it - it was a nice workout! Our favourite part was the fire pit deck halfway down to the water. We spent every evening there. The outdoor furniture was enormously comfortable. The cottage itself is also very comfortable with lots of places to sit and relax, and multiple spaces for kids and adults alike. The only real issues we encountered were water pressure and temperature difficulties with the showers, and oddly there's no shower in the master bath. But it didn't bother us much. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the kitchen is well equipped. Bring your own spices, oils and condiments. Coffee maker is a drip machine which made very good coffee. Bring ground coffee; filters are provided. We've stayed at a lot of cottages over the years and this one was by far our favourite. We felt very at home and relaxed. Thank you, Belle Wood! We will be back.

This was our fourth time here. That should say it all. We've now been here more than the owners. It feels like our place. We have simply never stayed in a better place anywhere.
We will return, again.

Gull haven was a tremendously comfortable, well appointed cottage on the lake. It was large, clean and beautifully decorated and furnished. No detail was missed or overlooked. We simply didn’t want to leave. The lake is large, clean and swimmable. It was complete with a resident family of loons.who were visible and heard every day. Our only issue is the wording on the listing which referred to a “large jacuzzi tub” in the en-suite bathroom. It was indeed large, but not a jacuzzi. There were no jets. Also, the listing mentioned a two person kayak. It was only a single person kayak. We were looking forward to both of these items and were a little disappointed they were not as described. The listing should be revised. But nonetheless our stay was wonderful. We hope to return next year.

Fabulous cottage. Nice lakefront. Would have loved a shallow entry but overall a great experience with family.
