The cottage was amazing

Me and my wife had a wonderful time at the cottage, it was very hot the week we went but shade for the trees surrounding the cottage made it cool with the windows open. The layout made conversation from the kitchen to the living area very easy. We didn't go in the water to swim but the paddle boat and canoe were perfect. It was very private didn't hear much noise from surrounding cottages. We will be back next year.

Our family of 5 plus dog just spent an enjoyable week at this cottage. It was a spotlessly clean and amazingly well laid out, with every kitchen item you could think of! It is tastefully decorated with huge windows to let the breeze in on hot days. It is on a very private lot and a quiet lake, that the kids paddled easily. The fire pit is close to the cottage and well cleared. However, it is very unfortunate that the time spent at the water was not as comfortable as inside. The walkway down to the lake is not safe or manageable for many. Although the owners said that it was to be redone in 2018 - it was not. The dock is very tiny, with steep stairs and it is not properly anchored - kids struggled to get in and out of their boats. With a few minor upgrades this cottage would be an absolute dream!

Our family of 4 and dog had a great time at Blue Heron Bay on West Lake. The cottage was a good size for our family and well laid out. It's a great location on a good sized lake and felt very private. Our teenagers had a great time running and jumping off the dock into the lake. The kitchen was well equipped and renovated and clean. Beautiful bathroom with a nice large shower. The town of Haliburton is 20 minutes away. The cottage can sleep 7, however i would recommend it for smaller families (2 adults and max 6 kids). It's great for older kids because there is no beach. I'd definitely return.

Pristine Setting for Nature Lovers

A most tranquil place to enjoy all that lakeside nature has to offer. Kayaking, canoeing, fishing, campfires, swimming in the morning southeast sun until the late afternoon and more sun from the west to soak in on the upper deck. Nearby amenities, biking, hiking, Haliburton events, and artisans as well as a great DVD collection for activity alternatives. Choose to relax, perhaps read, or be active--the options are pleasing and endless. This is a piece of heaven in the Haliburton Highlands!

We had a great stay at the cottage despite having rain every day but one. The cottage was clean and had some nice upgrades and finishes. We enjoyed a relaxing week, and saw several deer close to the cottage almost every day. The steep path leading to the waterfront can be very slippery when wet with the mud, rocks and tree roots. We enjoyed fresh fish that we caught throughout the week including several rainbow trout. Nice!

Since being at this cottage we have rented a few others but nothing seems to compare to this cottage. We loved how modern and clean it was. The kitchen had everything imaginable that you could possibly need. We loved how private it was. This cottage is definitely worth a stay!

Nice place, beautiful bedrooms and washroom. A bit on the small side, with a treacherous walk to the dock. A set of stairs to the dock would be a nice idea.

Idyllic Location and Exquisite Property

This cottage is located on a fully treed lot which offered complete privacy and natural surroundings. The lake was clear and good for swimming, paddling the canoe, and rowing and fishing. The cottage deck and dock received the warm morning sun and the dock was sunny into the late afternoon. During the heavy rainfall, we hustled into closeby Haliburton and found some art, deals, and some essentials. The firepit was enjoyable to use after the fire ban was lifted. Slower speed roads afforded safer cycling over many rolling hills for my husband. The cottage was well equipped, furnished, and decorated. The cottage and property were perfect for our small family and a few visiting friends to share some fun indoor activities together. We would all like to return next year!

Beautiful quiet lake, great little cottage, with welcoming modern updates

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage, a lot of work has been completed inside, to give a very updated clean, modern feel. A bit of a walk down the hill to the lake, but when your enjoying the cottage life, a bit of exercise didn't hurt us any! My only regret with this cottage stay was the sun exposure on the dock, by 2 p.m. the sun is starting to disappear, and you are back up at the cottage to catch some rays, or out on the lake. Although I am a nature lover, I would recommend cutting down a few trees to provide more access to sunlight at the dock. Overall a great stay.
