We had a great stay at the cottage despite having rain every day but one. The cottage was clean and had some nice upgrades and finishes. We enjoyed a relaxing week, and saw several deer close to the cottage almost every day. The steep path leading to the waterfront can be very slippery when wet with the mud, rocks and tree roots. We enjoyed fresh fish that we caught throughout the week including several rainbow trout. Nice!

Since being at this cottage we have rented a few others but nothing seems to compare to this cottage. We loved how modern and clean it was. The kitchen had everything imaginable that you could possibly need. We loved how private it was. This cottage is definitely worth a stay!

Nice place, beautiful bedrooms and washroom. A bit on the small side, with a treacherous walk to the dock. A set of stairs to the dock would be a nice idea.

Idyllic Location and Exquisite Property

This cottage is located on a fully treed lot which offered complete privacy and natural surroundings. The lake was clear and good for swimming, paddling the canoe, and rowing and fishing. The cottage deck and dock received the warm morning sun and the dock was sunny into the late afternoon. During the heavy rainfall, we hustled into closeby Haliburton and found some art, deals, and some essentials. The firepit was enjoyable to use after the fire ban was lifted. Slower speed roads afforded safer cycling over many rolling hills for my husband. The cottage was well equipped, furnished, and decorated. The cottage and property were perfect for our small family and a few visiting friends to share some fun indoor activities together. We would all like to return next year!

Beautiful quiet lake, great little cottage, with welcoming modern updates

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage, a lot of work has been completed inside, to give a very updated clean, modern feel. A bit of a walk down the hill to the lake, but when your enjoying the cottage life, a bit of exercise didn't hurt us any! My only regret with this cottage stay was the sun exposure on the dock, by 2 p.m. the sun is starting to disappear, and you are back up at the cottage to catch some rays, or out on the lake. Although I am a nature lover, I would recommend cutting down a few trees to provide more access to sunlight at the dock. Overall a great stay.

My family enjoyed our 2 week stay at Blue Heron Bay. The cottage was clean and modern (especially the kitchen and bathroom). The privacy is excellent and the best feature is the lake itself as there are only about 25 cottages and hardly any boat traffic. At least 50% of the lake shoreline is undeveloped and natural making it one of the prettiest lakes I've seen. The only thing to be aware of is the walk down to the dock is a little steep. No problem for older kids and adults but seniors and toddlers would find it challenging.

My family and I have the pleasure of staying at this cottage for both our Anniversary and my Birthday and it was well worth it. Cottage was very well maintained, clean and the setting in the forest was beautiful. My 4 years old running full force down to the path scared the crap out of me, but other then that no complaints. Would recommend this cottage.
