What a beautiful place, private, close to the lake, quiet, well equipped kitchen, large deck where one can sit for hours to relax, good swimming, boat rentals very close to the property.

Thank you so much for your review.
We truly enjoyed our stay this August. The cottage was well equipped and the view was spectacular from the outdoor eating area. The lake itself was wonderful and we took advantage of the canoe rental that was a short walk away during our stay. My daughter was bummed out that the paddle boat and jacuzzi weren’t working during our stay! Our only reason for not giving the cottage a full five star review was due to the lighting in the cottage. It was a little on the dim side and was hard to read a book indoors. Otherwise it was a great spot and would love to return!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay once again at Cavaco Bay Cottage. Such a lovely view of the lake and waterfront. The location is great, privacy was good and enjoyed some much needed lake time. Hoping to perhaps book again for next year when we decide on our vacation.

We enjoyed our stay at Cavaco Bay cottage. Such a lovely spot to unwind and relax. Cottage was well equipped and clean and the view was spectacular. My husband was disappointed that he couldn't use the boat as it had a leak and the paddle boat's rudder was broken. Regardless, we had a good time away at this little piece of heaven. Will definitely keep in mind for next year.

All-Season Cottage Rentals' Response:
The boats had a rough rental season this summer. They will be repaired in time for next summer.
A vacation to remember! Clean and comfortable cottage, well equipped kitchen with everything you need, the DECK- priceless!! The trees surrounding the cottage, the birds, the loons singing in the morning, the warm water of the lake excellent for swimming. We rented a canoe for tree days and this was the highlight of our stay. The renting place is very close , 10 minutes walk from the cottage. Highly recommended!!

Likes: The view from the cottage is beautiful. It is on gorgeous lake St. Nora. It is less than 10 min drive into Dorset and close to Huntsville and race rigs. Cottage offers 2 decks to sit and enjoy the view plus a dock. The kitchen is well supplied with everything you might need.
Dislikes: The cottage was not cleaned before we came. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned for some time. Bathroom was filthy. I think this was the most disappointing factor to me. The other thing I found disappointing was that the owner left their clothes in the only dresser. Leaving us to live out of our suitcases for the week. My suggestion would be to get a container that fits under the bed and put your clothes in there when expecting renters. Also I would put your bedding in a container and put it in the utility room instead of on the floor in the corner. I would also suggest taking your soaps and shampoos out of the shower and putting them under the sink.
Having said this I think if these things were given some attention I would give this cottage a much better rating.

Thank-you for your feedback. We have shared your comments about storage space for clothing with the owners, and they will ensure there is more space available for all future rentals. The owners have also hired a new cleaner so you will now see a notable difference in the condition of the cottage. She is great and the cottage will be pristine for all future guests. We hope to have you back soon so you can see the improvements and share your impressions!
There were two lights that did not work - one on the fan in the living room which was impossible to reach and one florescent over the stove. The front outside porch light worked but was leaking so it was unsafe to turn it on. I would suggest that instructions be left for the hot tub as it never reached a temperature above 82 degrees, then decreased to 58 degrees and we were not able to control it so it did not get used. There were a few things missing in the kitchen (peeler, placemats, wine glasses) and no tub mat inside - very slippery! I would also suggest that the wood for the firepit be tarped so that it could be used. Otherwise a pleasant experience. Would consider renting again .
