Glamor Shores, Glamor (Little) Lake

We enjoyed our week at this cottage. There is lots of room inside and outside.The fishing from the dock was good. We missed a regular bathtub though for the two little ones and there was no gate on the deck for the safety of our 23 month old grandson. This was listed n the description. The deck was new and a wonderful size though. The kitchen has everything you'd ever need! We would definitely go back again.

This is the 3rd year my family have spent a week's vacation at Glamor Shores. We just love the beautiful view from floor to ceiling right across the lake as soon as you walk in! This cottage ticks all our boxes; screen room for games, deck over the water for games and lounging. A big deck and BBQ out front of the cottage with a picnic table. With four bedrooms, 3 upstairs and one downstairs, it's perfect for those who want to go to sleep at 9 and others who want to watch cottage movies until 2am as the sound does not reach the top floor. Two bathrooms is a must for a family of 6, age ranges from 30 - 65. There's so much fun to be had in the water - a floating dock, canoe, 2 kayaks, a SUP board and for those of us not so adventurous - a hammock! The water has a gradual slope and is very clear. The lake is extremely quiet during the week - very little water traffic. And this cottage is PRIVATE. There is a fire pit but it's not easy to sit around it as it's space is limited. We did manage to have a fire one night though. We can't wait to go again next year!!!!!

My family loves the cottage on Glamor Lake. I have older married children and this gives us a chance to spend time together doing things we all love together. The canoe, kayak and SUP board are always in use and we love the little island dock. There's enough beach to relax and read in the lounge chairs and even a place to play Euchre down by the dock. The screen room is perfect for board games and late night cards. We dined at the picnic table out on the deck and enjoyed the privacy and peaceful evenings. There is hardly any traffic on the lake. There are a lot of loons on this lake and they made daily appearances. This was a perfect family vacation, ages 29 - 64. We hope to return next year!

We had a wonderful stay at Glamor Shores. The cottage is well appointed and has all the amenities we city dwellers are used to, including a washer and a drier and unlimited internet. The cottage is elevated above the lake shore, so every time we had a meal, we could enjoy the beautiful lake view. The acces to the lake is not steep, very gradual. The entry to the lake is from the dock's ladder. The water is 3-4 feet deep there. The bottom there is luckily sandy (we forgot to take our water shoes). But we were fine. Every day we chilled out in the lake and went kayaking. I wish there were two kayaks instead of just one. There are multiple outdoor sitting areas to relax. So, overall a great place for your summer vacation. I would highly recommend.

The first thing that hit me when I arrived at the cottage was the beautiful panorama over-looking the lake which could be seen through the tall windows wrapping around the entire front of the cottage. It was gorgeous! The cottage is tucked away from view of the neighbouring cottages and the lakefront is really functional for everyone. At one point, we commented that we looked like an advertisement for summer activities in Ontario. One person fishing off the dock (and yes they did catch fish- catch and release of course), another was relaxing in the water on an inflatable while another was practising on the sup board. Another sun-bathing on the lounge chair by the water, while another reading on the tanning deck. We loved the deck surrounding the front of the cottage for dinner and the screen room for late night board games. The week was filled with fun activities including canoeing, a fire by the water and watching a meteor shower from the deck. We were entertained with the songs of the loons and the crazy antics of the little red-tailed squirrels and chipmunks. The interior of the cottage had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. If I could say anything negative, it would be that the dock is a bit scary for an older adult such as myself as you need a good sense of balance to walk on it. It sways with the water when you step on it. And I wish there had been a toaster rather than a toaster oven. Pretty small inconveniences in comparison! All in all, a great place for family of all ages to spend a week together! We would definitely love to go back next year!

Good clean swimmable water. No weeds. Plenty of bass in the lake. Wifi reception excellent. Private lot. Well equipped. We stayed with 2 early rising 1 year olds so the master loft bedroom open to the living room below would not be the best choice for grandparents wanting to sleep in. All other bedrooms well sized and quiet. Large deck with baby gates a plus. Even a toy box for the little ones. Close enough to Haliburton for shopping. Easy to clean on departure.
