Large, secluded 8-bedroom, 3-washroom log cabin on Haliburton Lake is the perfect location for large family gatherings. The cottage itself is a beautiful log cabin situated on a property with sprawling grass lawn, surrounded by mature hardwood forest. There is tons of lawn space for the kids to play! There are private walking trails through the woods that can be accessed directly from the cottage. Inside, there is plenty of space for the entire family to gather. The cottage is essentially divided into two wings, with the main living room in the middle. The 'south wing' offers one bedroom on the main floor, and three upstairs. The 'north wing' offers two bedooms on the main floor, and two more upstairs. Take a walk down the driveway and across the road to access the large, private, waterfront lot with over 500' of beach frontage. There is a large open space for games and a shed with refridgerator down by the lake. The waterfront is definitely the highlight of this property boasting all beach frontage with beautiful firm sand. The beach is mostly underwater during early July and grows as the summer progresses. Regardless of the time of year, the clear, clean, weed-free swimming is unmatched. Haliburton Lake is a large lake that is fantastic for boating, but please take note that there is no dock available at this cottage so you would have to 'beach' your boat.

- Cottage is situated across the road and up a small hill. You must walk down driveway and across the road to access waterfront lot.

Cottage is set up well for multiple families to enjoy. Lots of space with a large kitchen.
Sandy beach and lake were perfect for little kids.
Internet speed was very unreliable, streaming was difficult.

Thanks for taking the time to submit a review! We are thrilled that you enjoyed the cottage. Bell is in the process of installing fibre optic internet on Haliburton Lake. At the time of your stay the lines were already laid, however, there was still some work to do at the terminals before the new fibre optic system was turned 'live'. By early Fall 2024, the fibre optic system is expected to be 'live' which will significantly increase internet speeds and stability.
We found that the cottage was not as clean as it should have been. Some of the rooms did not have hooks or places to put clothes/towels and there were no side tables with lamps in all the rooms. We found it dark. Some better lighting would help. Lots of creaky doors throughout the cottage, that my son actually found WD40 to spray on them. The driveway was really washed out, so had to be really careful when driving on it.
