This was the second time we stayed with another young family with kids. The place was very clean, had everything we needed and fun for all the kids! We have a great time and look forward to another vacation! Thank you!

Maplecrest is simply stunning and a perfect vacation spot for lake activity with multiple areas to enjoy both indoors and out. An extended family of 10 all had our own space and choice of activities. The cottage is very well equipped with both necessities and extras. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and Will be back!

It's our first time at Maplecrest and the cottage surpassed our expectations. Very well equipped and direct access to the lake is such a great feature. The cottage itself was exceptionally clean and beautifully furnished. We really have no negative things to say about our stay, and would not hesitate to return.

As two young families vacationing together, we found Maplecrest to be a excellent cottage experience. The location was convenient for amenities, privacy and convenience of what the cottage had. The cottage views and luxuries of comfort were superior. We would definitely make this in our list! It was clean, had everything we needed and was truly like a home that made you relax and not worry about a thing, other than enjoying the view. Thanks for letting our families enjoy each other and summer in this beautiful cottage!

Best Cottage Experience - Ever

My wife and I have been renting Ontario cottages for over two decades, and the last few years have included much of our extended family (10 adults, 2 kids - 4 generations), all with different expectations and needs. This wonderful 5 bedroom cottage met and exceeded them all (with one small exception, below). The "big things" were all there - premium accommodations, lovely landscaping, small sand beach for the kids, large fire pit, deeper-water dock with diving raft, lots of water toys, etc. - you can see them all from the listing. The A/C was great as well, first time for us in a "cottage" but with temps above 30 degrees and lots of humidity everyone was able to keep their cool inside. But what we really liked was the "little things": lots of kid-friendly touches - removable baby gate for the stairs, kids plastic utensils, sand toys, larger than expected bedrooms, tons of dishes and cutlery, lots of kitchen extras like garbage bags and dishwasher tabs, a welcome package with a s'mores kit and two bottles of wine, an axe and a hatchet along with a huge wood pile, etc. These are all details that have been missing from our previous rentals but these owners "nailed" them all - very helpful! The only small problem was the steepness of the grade from the cottage to the water - my 86 year-old mother-in-law could only navigate it once. But she spent the rest of the time knitting, in a comfy chair at an umbrella table on the large second-story deck where she could see us playing in the water also take in the the amazing lake view. Needless to say, we will be back.

Should have a full size coffee maker especially when renting to families. We had to go out and buy one. Other than that this is our third time to this cottage and we love it here. Only down side is the steep hill down and up to the water

This is a lovely home on a gorgeous chain of 5 lakes. The house is impeccably decorated with everything you could possibly want for a family holiday. The kitchen was a joy to work in.; the grill was gas and easy to use. There were lots of water toys to play with. I was able to master the paddle board while staying there. If you want to rent a motorboat or jet ski there is a marina a short kayak ride across the lake. It was a joy to wake up to the sound of loons. I liked to start my day with an early morning kayak ride to a nearby marshland to watch and feed the families of ducks. A few nights we actually slept under the stars on the lawnchairs on the huge deck because the stars were incredible; we were not bothered by any insects. My workaholic husband actually relaxed on the large float in the afternoons and in the hot tub at night. Make sure you check out the movie paraphernalia at the Highlands Cinema and the ice cream at Dairyland in Minden. (My favorite flavor was black raspberry thunder.) This was definitely a 5-star holiday home.

The weather was perfect and so was the cottage, except tor the steps to the water. I was blown away by all of the little touches in this cottage, from the beautiful floral arrangement to the precut kindling to the kitchen accessories. I would definitely stay at Maplecrest again.

My husband needed down time away from the office with the family and this was the perfect spot for us to do this! We easily managed to rent a boat literally a minute away from the cottage and thankfully we did not see or hear the marina. The kids fished off the dock and we all enjoyed the Kayak,Canoe and paddle boat. The standing Kayak was there but had no rubber fin thus could not use. It would have been nice to have a water trampoline but none was available to us.The cottage is very comfortable and well outfitted. The fire pit was perfect at night. We brought a badminton set which was perfect as there was an open grassed area in which we could use it. Lovely time was had by all. The lake was beautiful and we even had a surprise visit from a family of loons! We would definitely rent this cottage again.

Beautiful cottage with easy comute to local towns and marina

All three families enjoyed their time here in this beautiful cottage and it's amenties. Few things-very busy part of lake due to marina being close by and turn around point for water skiers/wakeb boarders. As well, steps down from cottage to fire pit area-quite steep and steps not very wide. Overall a great cottage on very nice lake with room for lots of people. Thanks. Jeff
