Oasis on Blue Hawk, Blue Hawk Lake
- 2 Bedrooms, plus loft, plus Bunkie (2 Queen, 2 Double, 1 Single, 1 Queen fold-out Futon)
- 1 - 3 PC washroom
- Water: from lake but treated with UV filter
Recently renovated, 2 bedroom (plus loft), 1 washroom cottage located on Blue Hawk Lake. This cottage is ideal for smaller, single family groups looking for an escape to a quiet lakeside setting. The cottage is conveniently located just 10 minutes outside of the village of Haliburton. All wheel drive vehicles are recommended for winter access. At roughly 1,000 sq. ft. the cottage is on the smaller side, however, the open concept design makes it feel quite spacious and comfortable with plenty of space for the whole family. This cottage is the perfect location to spend quality family time, featuring all the creature comforts of home including internet, washer/dryer and dishwasher. The waterfront on Blue Hawk Lake offers fantastic swimming from the dock and gorgeous Northern exposure providing all day sun. Blue Hawk Lake is known for good Small/Large mouth Bass, Walleye and Musky fishing. While motor boats are permitted on the lake, it tends to be quieter than some of the larger lakes in the area, and is a great lake to explore by canoe or kayak. The local cottage roads surrounding the cottage offer ample options for hiking and convenient access to OFSCA and HATVA trails.

We had a great time at the Oasis. The cottage was very nice. The beds were comfortable, and bunkie was nice as well. The sitting area on the dock was great. The current pictures on the website don't show the gazebo, so it was a very nice surprise to see it when we got there. Hardly saw any boats on the lake, so it was very quiet. I would suggest taking your own chairs for the fire, as the chairs there were covered with pine needles and sap. Cleaned the needles off, but couldn't get all the sap off. Bought firewood in town but it must have just been cut as it did not burn very well at all. Disappointed with that for what we paid for a bag. Visited Glebe Sculpture Park and ate at The Hook Line & Sinker in Haliburton. Would recommend both places. Paul (owner) was very helpful if any we had any questions.
Would go back!!!

Our stay was really nice. We enjoyed exploring the lake and surrounding area knowing we had a cozy place to come back to. The lake is quite small but generally calm and easy to navigate. The owners are pleasant to deal with and very helpful as we renters learn the idiosyncrasies of the cottage. The cottage is close to the water so hearing the lake all the time is very soothing. A lovely spot to be sure.
