Pristine property, private pond, beautiful forest, property manager (Mark) was awesome, always quick to respond and support us.

We have a very enjoyable stay - highlights included
- paddling around in the beautiful old cedar strip canoe
- seeing deer, humming birds and a blue heron
- relaxing on the large deck overlooking the lake - which seemed to magically repel most of the bugs
Some things that could be improved:
- microwave not working
- lots of windows but few window coverings, so hard to sleep past dawn in the loft area
- cabin got very warm (it was a heat wave) and there could have been more than one fan, also it would have been helpful to have the ceiling fan operational
Note: while there wasn't walk in swimming on the lake, we discovered a great sandy, shallow local swimming spot at Sand Point Public Beach near Haliburton.

Great for those wanting a totally peaceful place! We have stayed before and love the peace and quiet .. no one around and no sound except the ustling leaves. Ideal if you want a break from it all, not for those who prefer busy lakes and company.
The cabin is really nice and well equipped with all you need.

Our weekend at the Off Grid Cabin was enjoyed by all. The location was perfect for our interests… snowshoe bushwhacking in any direction, and many groomed cross country ski trails close by, as well as the convenience of the village close by. The cottage and property were beautiful.
The main negative was the hot water on demand which only worked periodically and for very short periods of time. Water had to be heated on the stove for washing dishes and showering was impossible. The door knob to the sun room came off after a couple uses.

All-Season Cottage Rentals' Response:
The owner of the Cabin is looking into this issue so it can be repaired in time for the next renters. Thank-you!

Fantastic, the scenery and seclusion the best bar none, 5 star. This is the first cottage I've ever been to with its own private lake.....full of bass! Caught so many my arms were tired after half an hour....catch and release of course. It was really hard to leave, can't wait to go back.

This is a gorgeous cabin with cathedral ceilings - very quiet and secluded. The kilometre driveway was ploughed daily so we never felt stuck. It is steep so you at least need snow tires or a 4 wheel drive. A couple of minor problems that we had were resolved very quickly. There were some issues with the on-demand hot-water - not a problem in the shower, but didn't always work in the kitchen and bathroom sinks.
The living room arrangement might have been a bit cozier - we ended up bringing in the 3rd settee from the unheated sunroom, which helped a lot.
All in all it was quite cozy and during one storm we were happy to know that we didn't need to worry about power outages since the solar batteries were backed up by propane.
