So nice to get away. The cabin was beautiful but had a couple cleaning issues that we reported and will be rectified. The lake was quiet and perfect size to enjoy the kayaks and canoe. The water was nice to swim in. The only negative was the traffic sounds from across the lake but you get used to it. I really loved the different places you can sit to watch the lake, the deck, the gazebo, and the dock.

Big open spaced cottage with a large lot. Hot tub a plus especially with the wet weather endured. Forced air heat, woodstove and a two sided fireplace to keep warm with single digit morning temperatures.. A couple of real disappointments. Would have rated the privacy much higher but there was construction next door, and extremely loud music at night at another cottage. The cottage needs some maintenance. Bathroom ceiling fixtures burnt out, main floor shower does not regulate temp and the water pressure fluctuates. Also the cooktop is not induction. The best part was the sunroom for gathering by the gas fireplace. Road is a nice 1.4km round trip walk to the highway. Easy drive to Haliburton for shopping.

Spacious well appointed cottage. We stayed with in laws and our kids, who all enjoyed cottage. Lots of games to play and two good kayaks for use. Bedrooms all a good size and lots of seating in the living room and sun room. You do hear the trucks on Hwy 118 at times but it didn't really bother us. The only drawback for us was the lake is pretty small and there's not a lot to explore. That said we caught a 5lb large mouth and a few other fish. We enjoyed the week.

We stayed here in March 2022 with another family - 4 adults and 4 children total. This was one of the most comfortable cottages we have every stayed in. The open concept kitchen/living area was great for cooking and hanging out with the family. And the sunroom off the kitchen was a cozy getaway from the hustle and bustle. Every couch/chair in the place was super comfortable -- just felt like home. We used the hot tub, which was amazing in the winter time. The kitchen was well-stocked. Frank and Angel were easy to connect with and super responsive (we inquired about their dish drying rack as we loved it!). Would definitely recommend. We skiied at Sir Sam's two days while we were there and it was a quick 20-min drive. We also went to Foodland a couple of times -- 8 mins or so from the cottage.

A well-equipped cottage in a fine location on a small lake without a public boat launch, hence a welcome absence of large boats. Kitchen extraordinarily well equipped (but notable absence of a teapot). We enjoyed our stay.
Upstairs plumbing idiosynchratic - is there a hot water leak into the cold water pipe? It was necessary to run the shower for several minutes to get cold water.
Outdoor railings wobbly - they would not hold a fall against them.
We spilled some water and would have appreciated a mop and pail to clean it up - as it was we co-opted two cottage towels, and washed them before we left.
Notable sunset views.

All-Season Cottage Rentals' Response:
Thanks for your review! We are thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the cottage! The owners very much appreciated your feedback and are happy to let you know that the upstairs shower has been fixed and running again with well-balanced temperature. The outdoor railing has also been fixed and there is a mop and pail at the bottom of the basement stairs. Lastly, the kitchen now has a teapot :).
Property (interior and exterior) is lovely, the owners are very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately, the agency didn't think it was worthwhile to let renters know that you can see and hear the main highway from the cottage. Key information for all renters.
Mornings are noisy with traffic and trains and you feel like you are in the middle of the city. Noise subsides later in the evening. Lake is shallow so no diving, jumping and doesn't really get deep but makes for warm waters.

All-Season Cottage Rentals' Response:
Thanks for taking the time to submit a review! We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the cottage itself (interior and exterior), but are sad to hear of your disappointment about the noise from the highway on opposite side of the lake. Highway 118 is undergoing significant improvements this summer, and it is unfortunate that the construction happened to be along the stretch of highway on the opposite side of the lake during your time at the cottage. It is important to review cottage profiles fully prior to booking. The fact that the highway runs along the opposite side of the lake is noted on the main cottage profile. You can also see the highway when looking at the map shown on the cottage profile. This cottage is ideal for those looking for easy access to town, but not ideal if you are looking for something remote and off the beaten path. We know our inventory of cottages quite well and are always happy to assist guests when choosing a cottage. For the benefit of future guests, please don't hesitate to call us prior to booking to discuss potential options. We visit every cottage on our site prior to listing and are happy to answer your questions from first hand knowledge of each property. We will quiz you on important aspects to your family, and help narrow down the choices to appropriate options that match what you are looking for. It is also worth noting that there are no trains in Haliburton County.
Recently, I joined 5 friends for a post-Covid get together. We stayed at Paradise Cove. It was the perfect place for our reunion. The cottage is bright and spacious, a very nice blend of rustic and modern. It’s a cottage that feels loved and well looked after, it’s spotless and it offers all the amenities you’d need for a short or long term stay. What I most appreciated about the cottage is that it offers ample spaces (indoor and outdoor) for communal activities (dinners, conversations, games) and also nooks for any of us desiring time alone. I really enjoyed my time at Paradise Cove, and our group has decided to make an annual get-together there a yearly event.

We rented this cottage for 12 days in July 2021 for 6 adult family members (3 of whom had to work remotely during the day and evenings). This cottage was perfect for lots of space, privacy, excellent internet, large kitchen and lovely new dock. Sunsets were beautiful. Beach area is small but good access and lake is very shallow and sandy on entry. Everything was very comfortable and organized for easy vacation enjoyment. 2 nice kayaks and a canoe. Nice fire pit area. Only drawback was lake was a bit too small for canoeing any distance but there are other larger lakes nearby if you bring your own canoe to transport. Cottage was well maintained. Would have been nice to have access to hot tub during the summer as it was cool while we were there. Lake is very quiet and few motorized boats. Highly recommend.

We loved this place. The cottage was perfect, a large open living, cooking and dining area where we could all stay in communication. And, at last, a lake without sea-doos! How much more perfect can it get? The kitchen lacked for nothing and both here and elsewhere there was plenty of room for storage.
You don't normally admire cottages for gardens but whoever set out the garden knew exactly what would grow, semi-wild, without water other than would fall from the sky. A lot of thought went into this and we appreciated it. Privacy could hardly have been better, a distant cottage on one side and bush on the other. And white pines straight out of history.
