Spent quite a few summers at Passtime and would highly recommend this lovely and very private cottage. Great location and the views are stunning. Cottage very clean and compact, everything you can think of is available. Heated floors for colder nights too! Great for a couple, a young family or just to get away by yourself!

There were a number of items that were supposed to be included that were not....TV, paddles, life jackets. cottage key and dump card. None of these were a big deal though....didn't need a TV, brought our own paddles and life jackets and took our garbage with us when we left. . The view from the loft is awesome. We enjoyed walking the trails and fishing the river. We took our dog who absolutely loved the place. It would have been nice if there were screens on the windows. We couldn't open them because of bugs.

All-Season Cottage Rentals' Response:

The owner of this cottage is always available to assist you, give directions or point you towards the best trails. The paddles and life jackets were still in winter storage but he would have been happy to get them for you. He didn't anticipate people using the river this early in the season.

Absolutely breathtaking and beautiful! Gorgeous cottage in a pristine location...very private and serene.

Stayed for one week with two kids...brought our own kayaks and canoe paddles (canoe is provided there)...it is so peaceful and with a stunning view. The cottage is as beautiful as the location with so many details that make it unique. The trails near the cottage have been meticulously designed with rocks placed over culverts neatly and mossy paths...really beautiful! Antiques fill the cottage which adds to the character and charm of the building. The loft is strategically positioned to give a perfect view of the waterfalls through the window...the view is breathtaking and the rush of the waterfalls and river so serene. Canoe down the river if possible to the lily pad covered opening.

We fell in love with Passtime as soon as we saw it. The position is secluded and very private and the view spectacular. The cottage is beautifully built and decorated with great character. The weather was poor so we didn't manage to canoe but did swim in the river before the rain came! Al is a total delight who we also fell in love with. We could have listened to his stories for hours. The sandy beach is tiny and in the middle of two jetties but is usually very quiet midweek. We preferred to stay around the cottage as it was just idyllic.

Just returned from a last minute two-night stay in this beauty. All the comforts of being in the home of your dreams, with the added luxury of being in the middle of 27 acres that are just perfect for wandering around with dogs! So private. So beautiful to see and hear the little water fall off in the distance and splash around a rocky shore. So many trees...I can't wait to see what it all looks like in the fall when the leaves are changing! We will be back for sure. Our dogs had the time of their lives in and out of the water and exploring the trails. Even the black flies couldn't deter us from having a great two nights! Oh, and great service from the folks who run this website. We could obviously have not pulled this little trip together without you!

My family and I, including our 2 dogs had the most peaceful and relaxing time. The environment created by the owner has such a wonderful ambiance both inside and outside. The wonderful paths which have been created on the grounds and the beautiful waterfall allows you to fully appreciate the surroundings. We even enjoyed a swim in the warm river. It is also very close to the town of Haliburton, a lovely little beach and playground on Eagle Lake and the Wolf Centre which were all great excursions. We found it difficult to leave!!

My family and I stayed during thanksgiving weekend and we had an amazing time. The cottage was a little small for 6 adult couples but it was charming and cozy. The location was so private with a river running through the backyard, making our stay very peaceful and secluded. The cottage was decorated wonderfully and we were all very comfortable. My only complaint is that there are many light switches throughout the cottage but we weren't sure of each one's purpose....they need to be labeled in some way. Other than that, Passtime is beautiful place to stay. Note the date of stay was Oct 2013...but choice only goes up to 2012.

My husband and I only stayed for a week and wish it had been longer. It was a well deserved stay peaceful, beautiful cannot say enough. We felt like we went out on a hike and stumbled into this amazing oasis. Hearing the water fall, listenting to the birds what more could you ask for. We also brought our two dogs that enjoyed their holiday as well specially the one that is a swimmer. The endless trails of new adventures and scenery. We hope to be back again to enjoy the peace and the quiet. We can not thank you enough for advertising this wonderful cottage for us to find and hopefully for others. Thank you Laurie & Paul
