Owners were extremely helpful. Water was warm and extremely calm . Boat traffic was almost nil. Very nice secluded location.

A beautiful and peaceful location featuring a log cabin situated on a crystal clear lake. The owners are lovely people!
They offered to take us on a tour on their pontoon boat which was made even better as they know the whole history of the lake and each cottage. They also make their own maple syrup and gifted us a bottle upon our stay. (so Bring some pancake mix with you!)
The screened in porch made the stay even better, particularly if it rained and since there are no outdoor campfires allowed. The porch was a great place to sit and relax. We didn't use the fire place but I can imagine it would be great in September.
We definitely will be coming back.

We were very happy with our stay at RedWing cottage. A well built log cabin with modern amenities. You get your own private dock with a deck attached that has tables and chairs for evening drinks with the loons and frogs and morning coffee with the chipmunks! Bill and Ann have their own sugarbush and we got a bottle of maple syrup- delicious on biscuits or pancakes! Thank you! We will miss the beautiful wood burning fireplace in the evenings or rainy days. A full kitchen with everything you need and a new bbq. Fish weren’t biting but they are there! Swimming was nice and the water great! Halliburton is a 20 min drive - don’t miss the farmer market! Bill and Ann are most gracious hosts, took us out on their pontoon boat, made sure we lacked for nothing!

My family and I really enjoyed our week at Red Wing Cottage. So peaceful and relaxing. A nice view of the surrounding Haliburton Highlands and we saw quite a bit of wild life during our stay. Bill and Anne the owners were very welcoming and helpful. Thanks

All-Season Cottage Rentals' Response:
Thank you for your review. We really appreciate it.
What a beautiful traditional log cottage stay. The property and views are beautiful, the lake was clean and refreshing, nice for swimming, and the hosts, Bill & Anne couldn't have been more kind and gracious. The views of Red Rock were amazing, especially at sunset with the sun shining on it. I think the screen room was my favourite place, nice breezes without the bugs and great for a morning cup of coffee or a glass of wine in the evening while we heard the loon family with their haunting call often (they are big up close, and they came in close many times).
From the fresh maple syrup made onsite by Anne & Bill (thank you, still enjoying at home), to the log cottage experience and hearing about some history of the cottage and lake, especially on the boat tour (thank you both for that amazing afternoon). We felt privileged to have had a chance to stay at your family's log cottage on a property that has been in the family 70+ years. Even getting us some new fans during the humid week to make our stay more comfortable shows how gracious and thoughtful you both are. We wanted for nothing and appreciated the modern amenities (dishwasher, dryer, blender, satellite tv/dvd) that I'm sure weren't there when Bill and family built the log cabin. It was a nice warm week, so didn't use the big stone fireplace, but imagine the ambience would be nice in the fall with the colours.
Bill & Anne's place is on the same property, but never felt like we weren't in our own space and our privacy respected. Nice to have local historians onsite when needed and loved to hear the history of the lake and property.
For all the fishing we did out on the lake, we caught the biggest 17" large mouth bass right off the dock at sunset on our last night!
Very relaxing week and sorry we had to leave!
Thanks Anne & Bill, you are a treasure.

So this was our first family cottage. Couldn't have asked for better weather, fishing or neighbors. Cottage owners beside us were amazing. Respect your privacy while offering assistance when required(had to get towed in off the lake and to the boat launch). Not to mention their grade A maple syrup.
Cottage is exactly what I was looking for. It's not full of your bells and whistles and which was what we were looking to get away from. Dock was located close by and even caught a few fish off it.
Lake was fairly quiet, low traffic. Beautiful scenery throughout it and a lot of wildlife to boot. Great lake for bass and great for the kids as well.
Town is close by for all required needs.
Depending on what we do next year, we hope to come back.

Red Wing was built by the owner and his parent from the trees on the property, so it has that authentic log cabin feel. There is modern plumbing and even a dishwasher, so staying there is quite comfortable. The owners are very helpful without being intrusive. The large property has good water access. Drag Lake is one of the larger lakes in the area, but the bay where red Wing is located is pretty quiet. Definitely woudl stay there again

had a great week at this cottage. Everything was as described in the photos. Beautiful view of the lake and cliffs on the far shore. Caught fish right off the dock. Had a great tour of the lake with owners Bill and Anne and really enjoyed the history of the area from their time spent there. Very quite area also. would book again!!
