Summer Breeze, Minden Lake

Cottage was perfect. So many good things to say: the road in was newly paved. Massive lot for games, walking the dog, privacy, etc. Inside is very clean with great tv options, lots of board games, and the pool table was great for this cool nights. Lake during the week is very quiet, so much so it feels like a private lake. The fire pit was nicely situated and well laid out. The water level was high this year so we were able to dive off the dock. Tons of water toys. The owners seem to have out in a lot of thought to have comforts of in a cottage. You feel like you are away from everything but you are only 6 minutes from Tim Hortons, Grocery store, etc which makes it so easy to run and get something you forgot or need. Will definitely book again next year.

It's so nice to walk into a cottage and know exactly what to expect! We were not disappointed! Everything was clean and all ready for us to use. Even the weather cooperated! We really enjoyed our week there. The water was a bit cold since it was still June but the paddleboat and kayaks were put to use until it warmed up a bit more. Everyone had fun with the very friendly chipmunk that lives nearby. He was very entertaining. The cottage is a short drive to both Minden and Haliburton so it's perfect for trips in to either. Kawartha Dairy is just around the corner too. It's a beautiful cottage, very relaxing to stay in. Everything works well and it's well taken care of. The owners are great too! Thanks for another great stay!

We all enjoyed our week at Summer Breeze. It was so nice to come into such a clean and well kept cottage. Everyone had a great time swimming, kayaking and paddling the canoe. It was nice to have all the watercraft handy right at the shore. The pool table downstairs was used a lot too and we were surprised to see a large deer watching us through the sliding doors one evening. The satellite tv and access to Netflix provided lots of entertainment as well. I appreciated that the kitchen was well stocked with cooking pots and pans of all sizes and everything was in good working condition as I enjoy cooking. It's a short drive to Minden and Kawartha Dairy is on the way back home for the best ice cream. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely cottage with us! We had a great time!

The cottage was in immaculate shape, with lovely amenities. Lots of thought went into little extras for rainy days etc (which we didn't need as the weather was great). Loved having a dishwasher to free up family time! Firewood provided was a nice touch but wish I'd known before I brought a bunch! Location was great - not too far to drive, close to town, good roads, easy to find. The only comment I would make is that the climb down (and up!) to the water might be a bit much for some, or those with mobility issues and I didn't see that mentioned. Maybe others would realize it from the pictures. Realize it might deter some people but I suspect people would be more frustrated not knowing about it. Lovely dock area, small quiet lake. Got in some paddleboarding and kayaking - yay!

This was our second stay at Summer Breeze, we were impressed with the cottage on our first stay so we decided to rent again this year and as always we had an excellent time as the cottage has all the amenities you could ask for. We certainly will be inquiring about a week for next summer.

We had a wonderful time at the cottage! We loved the dock and the floats which came in handy with the exceptionally hot weather we had. The lake was beautiful and the White Water Kayaking reserve was amazing to visit. The large property of the cottage with the volleyball net and birdhouses was great for playing games. We loved eating outside for breakfast, lunch and dinner.. it was a bit of a workout going up and down the steps to the dock but great exercise as well. The cottage was so beautifully decorated with so many interesting items! Great job! The kitchen got quite hot even with the blinds and fans going but we also had a very hot week. The number of games available and the pool table were such a bonus as well as the internet. We didn’t use the downstairs TV because we couldn’t figure it out. Maybe some instruction would have been useful but not a big deal. The campfire was awesome too. The lake was quiet and we also loved the beach which is so rare to find. It’s a beautiful, clean and spacious cottage and we had a lot of fun and would love to return! Thank you!

We had a wonderful visit to the Summer Breeze cottage. The cottage was spotless and well stocked with all of the essentials (plus lots of extras) for a wonderful week away. Despite the rainy weather, there was lots to enjoy and keep us entertained indoors. There is a very clear pride in ownership throughout the property everything is very well thought out. We especially enjoyed the expansive yard, deck, and dock area with the comfortable seating and water toys. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cottage to others and would love to visit again.

I have nothing but admiration and appreciation for this cottage and the owners. Frank and family have gone out of their way to make this cottage experience an immaculate one. The cottage has all amenities you may wish for. From a new pool table to countless game consoles, books and board games, you will not get a chance to be bored! The outside volleyball field, fire pit and waterside dock, were great for all to enjoy. Location is very accessible. Great quiet neighbors and quiet lake. All and all, I would thank Frank and family and wish to go back in the near future. Thanks

This was our first stay in this cottage but not our first stay on Minden Lake. We love this area because it's not as busy as a lot of the lakes up north. The drive is only about 2 hours from Oakville and Minden is only a few minutes away from the cottage for all your last minute needs. We loved this cottage and wished we'd discovered it sooner. It's quaint cottage atmosphere is delightful with all unique items. The dock and beach area was amazing with all the floating devices and the umbrellas were a brilliant idea. There was even a canoe, kayak and paddle-boat available. The fire-pit over-looking the lake with wood provided was an added bonus. Definitely hoping to book again next summer and many more memories to make here! Loved it!
