Staying at billing’s lake will not disappoint. Some things that are not on the listing that should be noted- steep stairs to the dock,
Need to have extra caution. Dock stairs and rock can be slippery use the brush to brush that away.
The stay was amazing - we had a blast, from kayak, floating rings, sup board m, paddle boar. And the best part great weather. The kitchen was modern enough to support our needs. Some thing I would add is a pizza pan- we made pizza on a rainy day and had a pizza cutter but didn’t have a pan . Another items to note is that you should bring clear garbage bags and the dump is not open on Friday so you need to take your garbage with you. It’s open
In the middle of the week Lots of mosquitoes so bring your bug spray. Love watching the hummingbirds at the windows and reading a book in the muskoka chairs . That also needs to nw added to the listing - muskoka chairs by dock and fire and reading ones. The sun shines on the dock from 2-7
And provides a lot of fun times in the water There is no sandy area but otherwise a great place to catch lots of
Fish . We got a pickerel and bass small and large . Quite the selection. I found the price to be expensive but our choice were slim and everything has gone up in price. Ps the owners were amazing left us a bottle of wine from a
Local winery. Would love to stay there again .

Overall the cottage was as shown in photos. It was comfortable and we enjoyed sitting on the deck.; canoeing and paddleboarding on the lake. The dock was a bit on the small side. The water pressure in the bathroom was poor. The sofa was covered in a sheet which I thought was a bit tacky. The check in time (6p.m.on Friday was rather late).
We would consider renting this again but prefer a Sat to Sat rental or being able to get in earlier than 6 p.m.

Our family of 5 (with 3 tall teenagers) enjoyed a relaxing and fun 2 weeks at this lovely cottage. The owners were accessible for questions and it's clear the place is well-maintained are cared for.
Particular positive elements:
(1) the layout inside: a spacious living area with a large kitchen in which we could spread out even on rainy days. It was easy to arrange bedrooms and the kids and adults appreciated having the option to escape for some alone time in the bedrooms, as needed.
(2) the site: plenty of outdoor spaces (including a large deck) to spread out, sit and read, drink morning coffee, relax in a hammock (we brought our own and there are lots of tall trees to hang them on)...
(3) well-equipped inside: water cooler, large-screen smart TV, lots of seating space, ceiling fans in rooms, newly renovated kitchen in which you just have to check the counter or drawers and will find every utensil you could dream up, including sharp knives!
(4) lovely and well-equipped waterfront: paddle board, kayak, canoe, pedal boat, fun flotation devices, and the host gave ideas for great distance swims across the bay and lake.
(5) nature: we got some of our best pictures of hummingbirds, loons, and blue herons, both from the dock as well as during a peaceful paddle to a marshy area at the far end of the lake.
(6) personal but easy to move in and make it your own during your stay: empty drawers and closets in bedrooms, space in kitchen bathroom cupboards, clean and uncluttered - A REAL FIND!

A wonderful well kept cottage with a beautiful property and nice water to swim in. The cottage is perfect and well kept. The hosts were wonderful and left small gifts which were locally sourced. We had a lovely stay.
