The cottage was beautiful inside and out, a couple of small things to mention, there was no bbq brush to clean bbq, so had to buy one, and lots of large ants inside the cottage. Overall it was a fabulous vacation, I would definitely stay there again!!

My wife and I spent a week here last summer and returned for two weeks at Sweet Retreat and really enjoyed ourselves. The new BBQ is awesome, just remember to bring your own tool. Well kept property on a beautiful lake. Great neighbors on both sides.

My wife and I rented Sweet Retreat August 18 to 25, and were extremely impressed with this beautiful cottage. The pictures were accurate and the cottage was well equipped for whatever you needed. The primary bedroom is huge and the ensuite is extraordinary. The kitchen is large well equipped and provides a super view of the morning sun on the lake.
The grounds are well landscaped, the fire pit is second to none and the dock is impressive and was easy to dock our seadoo in deep water.
The BBQ has seen better days and needs to be updated but the covered deck is a great place to grill and relax watching the beauty of Haliburton lake.
