A spectacular 54 acre family compound featuring one of the best sand beaches cottage country has to offer and superb privacy. There are two cottages on the property, however, just the main cottage with 7 bedrooms and 4 washrooms is available for rent. The smaller cottage next door will remain vacant during your stay. (Both cottages are available during July & August - see profile for Tall Timbers Estate for details). Additional buildings include a beach bar with refrigerator down by the lake. Fire pit on the beach. Paddleboat. Kayak (2). Lots of loungers and beach umbrellas. There is a also a small private pond behind the cottage. Enjoy kilometers of groomed walking trails through the surrounding forest and total privacy at this one-of-a-kind location conveniently located minutes away from the village of Minden. Linens, bath towels and beach towels are included at this property. There is also plenty of parking space for trailers during the winter and easy access to OFSCA snowmobile trials. The cottage is approximately 30 minutes from Sir Sam's Ski & Bike, or 35 minutes to the Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve. Jackie was great host accommodating our group. She was very helpful showing us the cottage and all amenities. There is plenty of rooms for everybody and lots of games and activities to keep everybody occupied. You can enjoy your morning coffee right by the lake and enjoy the loons and ducks swimming by.

We had a great time at this cottage. Since our arrival, Jackie - our host, was very helpful and attentive to make sure everyone is enjoying their time.
We enjoyed all amenities in the cottage as well as hiking in the trails around us. The beach area is private with paddle boats, volleyball net, and fire pit.
All and all, everything was great and we immensely enjoyed our trip.

If you are looking for private cottage rental with a beach and swimming than this is the place. This place has everything for adults, teens and toddlers. Our kids loved feeding the fish in kids fishing pond, exploring the trails, playing on the long sandy beach and fishing off the large dock. Swimming was clean and lots of space for outdoor games. We especially loved the campfire on the beach. They even manage to keep the bugs away! We were so busy outside we didn't have time to enjoy the indoor games room but we loved all the space Tall timbers offered for our family of 10 adults, 4 toddlers and 2 babies! The hosts at the Tall Timbers give you privacy and welcome you into their guest cottage as life long friends.

We were 6 adults and 5 children, age 6 and under. The beach was perfect for the kids, sandy with a gentle shallow entry. The fish pond was great. The cottage is spacious, there were 2 or 3 rooms that we never used. The property manager, Jeff, was great in taking care of anything we needed. We had our own boat and it was great having a launch right at the property. The area is very private. Had a fabulous

Our family traveled from around Ontario and Alberta to unite at the Tall Timbers cottage and it was a beautiful surprise setting that felt like our own wilderness paradise! The grounds were immaculate and the cottage had both class and and cozy boho cottage vibe. The space allowed for a large family to exist amongst each other and also allowed for private space and reflection! We had fabulous home cooked meals, intimate gatherings around the fire and fun and games played on the beach.
We had card games and laughs in the boathouse, fishing off the docks and drinks at sunset. Our family vacation returns for the second time at Tall Timbers at the end of summer '18! We can't wait! Thanks for the family for creating such a warm place for all to experience.
