Well appointed log cabin with a beautiful view of Horseshoe Lake,

This a a charming log cabin over looking the lake. It is well stocked for all you need to enjoy the your stay. We appreciated the fact that bedding and towels where included and due to the poor weather we made good use of the TV. Our only suggestion would be to improve the lighting in the cottage . There is only really one lamp that is suitable to read by. The owners were very gracious in leaving welcoming gifts and it made us feel at home

The cottage was fully equipped. Nothing missing. The canopy on the dock was a real plus and the access to the lake was very good. We were a little unclesr on the usi it and replace it polic, so we just replaced everything we used. One major complaint was the musty, mouldy smell in the bunkie. It had not been aired out prior to our arrival making time spent in there uncomfortable. All in all the week was a lot of fun and we enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Overall a wonderful week at Fargin

Fargin is a beautiful little cottage that is very well equipped and comfortable. The bed is comfortable and there are many places to sit and relax, both in sun and shade. The dock is large and Horseshoe Lake is clean and beautiful. I highly recommend this cottage. If you are looking for something to improve, there is a hole under the window in the pantry that lets mice in and they help themselves to bread and things through the night. It would be good to nail a piece of tin over the hole for future guests. We will rebook for next year once we know our details. Lyn and Lynne McDiarmid

WE picked the area because we wanted to ride our motorbike in this area . ( www.ride the highlands.ca ) This location is perfect. lots of beautiful roads and sites to see. We toured some of the routes they had shown on the map and some that were not.. It was great . The lake the cottage was on nice and clean & nice dock little sandy beach very relaxing after a long days ride.. . The cottage is nestled in a shaded area. It was hot that week but the cottage was always comfortable. The other cottagers owners, renters were all great . Minded 5 min away everything you need.. 5 star vacation for us..

A little oasis on Horseshoe Lake! We just loved it. The cottage was exactly what we were looking for. A small cottage with rustic charm but all the modern conveniences and more provided. Only thing I would say was we didn't see where the fire pit was to have a camp fire. Other than that we were thrilled to have found this perfect little cottage for our vacation!

A well equipped kitchen except for a soup ladle. Clean and cosy. Could not use boat as there were no oars. A canopy over the dock would be nice. Would not hesitate to return.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Fargin. Coffee on the dock, meals on the front deck. Many things to keep busy: canoeing, bike riding, games, and just relaxing. We like the proximity to town and 2 hour drive from east of Toronto. We would go again!

We rented this cottage just this past week and were very pleased with it. It was a perfect little getaway haven for us as we were looking for just some R&R and we certainly got that lounging by the lake most of the time. The cottage was nice and cozy and is well laid out and was very surprised at how so much was supplied and already right there on site for us as our past cottage experiences we have pretty much had to supply everything. Thanx Jim and Narda for allowing us to stay at your cottage it was hard to leave. Will definitely be back again. Maybe sooner than you think. Bill and Vicki Johnston
