We really appreciated the electric motor on the rowboat, the extra kayak, the more permanent gazebo stretch
This year goose poop was a noticeable negative issue on the beach, the raft, and the dock.
We did clean this up more than once.
We want to return again next year

We've been staying at Torch Lake for the past 5 years and couldn't be more pleased! It's a spacious 10 person cottage with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Two gazebos provide several options for viewing the lake and it's also great for swimming with diving off the dock and a floating platform as well. There are also kayaks available for use to explore the small lake. All in all our favorite place to spend or holidays!

We loved our time at Torch Lake and wished it could have been longer. We were a family of 4 (children aged 4 and 6) and three grandparents. It was more than enough space for all 7 of us to have our own beds, and space to have quite time away from each other (when we wanted it).
The lake is beautiful and we made the most out of it with swimming, kayaking, canoeing, fishing and exploring every corner of the lake. We saw beavers, herons, water snakes, turtles and fish. Being able to dive right off the dock was important to us, and not having any weeds to swim through or over was the best! The swim dock is perfect. When we arrived the ladder was falling off, but the owners arrived early next morning to fix it for us.
The sand toys were a hit with our kids, although a few of the inflatables had holes in them.
We made use of the badminton court, the bon fire pit and the fireplace. We also enjoyed the puzzles and games in the cottage. We brought our kids bikes too, and they loved the long driveway to bike up and down.
The deck on the cottage is huge. We loved the screened in gazebo up at the cottage and then the screened in porch down by the water. Star gazing is top notch from the dock.
We really appreciated the hose right at the end of the deck, so we could wash off the sand before entering the cottage.
Inside, the cottage is great. Lots of space, great kitchen with everything you need...even an extra drink fridge! Good sized bedrooms with lots of clothing storage space, fans in each room, windows with great views and breezes. The main room of the cottage is awesome. Big doors with screens to open up to the deck, and a huge fireplace.
We can't wait to go back next year. We are hoping to book 2 weeks next time.
Our only complaint (which is obviously not deal breaker) is that while the cottage is on a private lake, it is just off the main highway and surrounded by a working gravel pit, so you don't get the complete silence of some other cottage locations. The work at the pit was quiet around 4pm, and it didn't bother us too much. But we were surprised to be able to hear traffic and trucks beeping, with the thought of a private lake. But once again, it was not a deal breaker and we would come back in a heart beat.
Our other suggestions (not complaints) would be:
- to have more lounge chairs or more comfortable seating available on the upper deck and down by the water.
- to have hooks or a clothesline down by the lake to hang wet towels (there is a clothes line by the cottage, but something down at the lake would have been amazing...we made our own with some rope).
- more hooks in the bedrooms
Every member of our family said the same thing "I can't wait to come back next year!"

We have been renting cottages in the Haliburton area for over a decade and can’t say enough good things about our wonderful stay at Torch Lake. A well laid out cottage with plenty of space inside and out to have multi-generational families make memories together in a beautiful location. The sunsets each night were truly breathtaking and the water was so clear and deep off the dock. This place has something for everyone with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds with fans in every room and lots of activities on land and water to help keep teenagers off their screens. We explored every part of the lake in the canoe and kayaks and the supplied sand toys got lots of use. The owners and the staff at All Season Cottage Rentals were very responsive to our questions and helped make our stay perfect. If you are looking for a peaceful, relaxing vacation in a unique setting, look no further. We are counting down the weeks until we return in 2023.

What a beautiful spot! it was a delight to have total privacy, be so close to nature - kayaking on a still and quiet lake. The fishing was great! The cottage was beautiful, comfortable and well appointed. Suitable for our range of ages - 12 to 70.

Our second Family visit to Torch Lake and it remains hard to beat. Your own private lake with great swimming, fishing and well supplied kitchen. Ideal for multiple families who seek the comfort of a daily sunset and an evening fire pit. There are no roaring motorboats just the gentle paddle of your canoe. Truly relaxing and thoughtfully planned cottage location. Owners were helpful with an Internet issue that was resolved within an hour. At Torch Lake one doesn't need the Internet except we had Teenage Grandchildren with us. Just the Best.

We really enjoyed our stay at Torch Lake cottage. It exceeded expectations in most areas. The kitchen was very well equipped and the overall design of the cottage worked very well for us. For our two wee grandchildren, the beach was a mini paradise, made even better by the discovery of Tonka trucks and sand toys in the gazebo. Our only concern were the mosquitos which seemed omnipresent in the evenings; even though we shut the doors tight, many still got inside and plagued us. We hope that that was because of the time of the year we visited - early July.

This is the ultimate location for privacy - your own lake with no other cottages on the lake. Pristine lake water that was warm and soothing. Great swimming and bass fishing! Marvellous for a large family that isn't interested in speeding about on a JetSki. Think calm, canoe, western sunsets, evening fire pit and a million stars and all the amenities of a very fine kitchen. Room to spread out with two screened in areas, large deck ,5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Yes, we want to return.
