The lower level features a walkout to the beach which is a perfect area for your family to gather and enjoy many beach games in the sand and sun. The location is perfect for those sunny days to enjoy the beach area. The area is sheltered nicely and the perfect view of the setting sun!

My family stayed at Tranquil Sands for the first time. Although the weather was cold and rainy for most of the week, we made the best of the wonderful cottage, beach, and boating equipment! The kids loved taking the paddle boat around the bay, and we did a small trip out to Blueberry Island in the rain! The camp fire spot was perfect, and the interior of the cottage was very clean, modern, and spacious for our family of 9 (5 adults, 4 children). The kids loved the bunk beds and other bedding options to play forts. We would definitely like to come back again for a warmer, sunnier week in the future!

We were extremely pleased with the cleanliness and layout of the cottage. It was perfect for our family with small children. We all enjoyed the sandy beach with shallow entry into the lake plus all the extras were a big hit such as the swim up raft, lily pad, boat etc. The neighbours were fantastic. Very enjoyable stay and would go back again!

We had another great summer week at Tranquil Sands. We enjoy the beach and the diving raft very much and the jumping rocks at the Blueberry Islands are not far away. The cottage has lots of space with big common areas for the family to be together as well as enough bedrooms that everyone in our family can have their privacy when they want it.

We all have nothing but good things to say about our stay at Tranquil Sands. The cottage was lovely and spacious..the beach was amazing...lots of toys for the kids to play with. We loved the screened-in porch..ate every meal out there. My family from Nova Scotia felt it was well worth the drive! We definately intend on returning next year!

We love returning to this cottage. I have been on Kennisis lake all my life and love to spend time on vacation there. We love the sand beach and the family enjoys the water and tranquil nature. The neighbors are friendly and the whole cottage experience is wonderful.

Another great stay with our family at Tranquil Sands. This was our 3 year spending a week at the cottage.. A great space to spend time together as a family with lots to do on the Lake. The kids love the swimming, tubing, fishing, snorkelling and especially jumping off the rocks on Blueberry Islands.

We loved the beach!! So much space to play games, chill and swim. Exposed to sun all day long but trees offer shade for those who want it. The cottage could use some TLC. Its 3 levels which is fine but there is a lot of the owners stuff around, not as tidy as other cottages we've rented. The place felt clean when we arrived (apart from knick knacks) but when we cleaned for the next person, realized many things had not been wiped (ie main living room coffee table was black). Knick knacks throughout house are dusty and shirts, laundry etc were left in closets. We left dishwashing pods and saran/foil for next guests but we had minimal when we arrived prompting a trip to the marina. Fridge needs replacing as does the terrible couches in the main living room!! Also patio furniture is too wide for the exposed deck. No way to get out without everyone moving. It is a great location with beach and weed free water! I really think with a good cleanup of the cottage itself (throw away old stuff and store personal items in one area vs in every room) and a few new purchased items (couch, loveseat, rectangle patio table), the place would feel more comfortable for the price charged and compared to others on Lake Kenisis. Other cottages include a kayak and/or SUP....may want to consider that for the price as well. The beach is the main pro to this place along with the large living room IF they change the furniture. Trying not to be too critical but at the same time, the owner should know about this stuff as most things easily corrected. :)
