Lovely Cottage on a Steep Cliff with a LOT of stairs to a great waterfront deck/dock

Lovely Cottage on a Steep Cliff with a LOT of stairs to a great waterfront deck/dock. Cottage was large enough to sleep 6 comfortably and had two nice sitting areas. Nice big fridge was appreciated. Very friendly marina, helped me put my jet ski in the water. Lovely waterfront with great deck and dock, but gets a LOT of boat traffic coming/going from marina as 80% of the cottages are water access only and this is the only way in and off the lake so you get a LOT of wake action on the dock. The stairs - need to make this in larger print for your advertising as these were BRUTAL. First couple of days I had to take a couple rests in order to make it up the hill. Got vertigo. This is NOT a cottage for physically challenged or elderly who are not in tip top shape. Water was very deep and clean - really nice lake! Too bad there are not more with road access. The Saskatchewan River leading off the lake across the bay should be also stressed as a selling point for the cottage renter - great paddling and lovely quiet waterway! Fishing we struck out but hear that it's great. Owner should have lounge chairs also at the water edge as well as on front deck for outside snoozing. Chairs on front deck of cottage should be replaced - they are really old and plastic has next to now support to hold an adult sitting properly, they kind of fold because the plastic is so worn. Nice touches with flowers and wine. Felt owners were watching closely as they drove by on their ATV on week 2, I guess making sure there were not big parties going on (there were none as I was on my own for most of the two weeks). Nice place but would not return because of the stairs... I had to plan my trips to the water and did not bother going down to sit and enjoy the lake with my morning coffee - to get back up to cottage for breakfast means you have to have enough food in your body to have the strength to climb back up the stairs to the cottage. 3-4 trips a day are enough - good glute workouts for the week.

Location and lake are great! Two downfalls (one which can't be helped): the sun doesn't hit the dock until afternoon, and the other is that the bed mattresses aren't so comfortable. Would return though, just earlier in the summer. Thanks for allowing pets!

We really enjoyed the cottage and the lake/dock and swimming area. The mattresses were a bit uncomfortable for the adults.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cottage has everything one needs without the clutter that sometimes goes with a rental. The stairs to the lake are well built and help to burn off the holiday fare!! I would highly recommend this cottage to other adults.

Great retreat by the lake

The cottage and property are immaculate and very nice. Had our parents up for an overnight visit and everything worked just fine for the folks in their 70's. Plenty of room, a beautiful dock and nice swimming. Would have liked a few extras that seem normal at other cottages, like a canoe, life jackets, old books and things, but that is of course all available in town. This cottage is more the sparse, super clean type rather than the ones that feel like the owners just left and everything is there for your use (which is not to say it lacks in utensils and the like, just more the typical cottage nic nacs.)
