What a view is the perfect name for this perfectly located Cottage. We had an amazing time at this truly gorgeous cottage. The place is huge and extremely well kept. It had all the necessities that we required. The only unfortunate thing was that some of the watercraft items were not in place. When we called Alex, he explained the reasoning being the early season and why they wouldn't recommend having the canoe or kayak out in the water. The trampoline was not out either. He went out of his way to make arrangements to get us the lawn chairs and other kids toys to make our stay even more comfortable. We truly had an amazing time and the kids loved the attic and the xbox games. The outside deck wraps around and allows for ample seating. Just beware of the black flies around the property as at this time of the year they were plenty. Thank you Alex and the All Season Cottage team, we look forward to visiting soon again!

Our 11 person family (including three children) had a wonderful time at this cottage. We enjoyed every part of the property (fire pit, beach, lake, dock, huge deck and wonderful working space in the kitchen). The deck created a wonderful gathering space. The kitchen with tall stools at the counter was an amazing working space for food preparations and serving meals. Our whole family thoroughly enjoyed this cottage, especially the privacy. The many steps down to the beach seemed like it could have been a problem, but it actually wasn't. Even the 4.5 year olds never complained. Our family would definitely consider this cottage again if our schedules would work. One small suggestion: The floating swimming raft could use a climbing ladder to help young and old get on top.

What a View is very well appointed, spacious cottage on a perfect sized lake. The views from the wrap around deck make it an all day treat. The hammock is a great bonus!

We loved "What a View" cottage! While the website pictures are great, the cottage is even more beautiful. There's nothing lacking at this cottage. Haliburton Lake is a perfect size and this cottage is situated quietly near the north end of the lake. The exposure provides beautiful sunshine all day long including gorgeous sunsets that we enjoyed well relaxing on the enormous deck. We brought our own motorboat which we launched just across the lake from the cottage on a public launch site. Our grandchildren love to fish and while we didn't catch anything huge, the kids caught lots of little ones, many just off the dock. We can't say enough good things about this beautiful place.

Amazing cottage

Cottage itself is absolutely stunning. Pictures don't do it justice to be honest. Great craftsmanship and care was put in to make it breathtaking. Only one issue that I believe renters should be aware of is that there are 44 wooden stairs that take you down to the part that takes you to the beach. The only reason I am mentioning this is if there are elderly or people with medical condition they will have hard time climbing up and down to get to the dock and the beach. Water was great, beach amazing cottage is very clean and supplied well. Beds were super comfy, fire pits are awesome and peace and quiet were priceless. Stairs did not affect us much however it could prove to be an issue for some. If you enjoy privacy and beauty and appreciate good craftsmanship and comforts of home this is definitely a place to stay at. Again cottage is a must see to appreciate. Huge smallmouth bass was caught from the dock. My youngest daughter (10) took the crown this year. :) Thank you very, very much for letting us enjoy your beautiful place.

All-Season Cottage Rentals' Response:

Thanks for the wonderful comments Ariana. We are thrilled to hear that your family enjoyed the cottage and hope to have you back again next summer! In addition to your comments about the stairs, we would also like to point out that there is a short, private road down to the waterfront. You cannot drive down the road, however, guests with mobility issues may find that this is an easier route down to the lake.

This cottage was beautiful from top to bottom with a view like no other....however, it was not a great layout for a party of mostly adults. This would be absolutely perfect for a family with teenagers and children.

Amazing cottage, amazing view!

My husband and I got married at this cottage with a few family members present. It was amazing. I could not have pictured a better venue for our very small wedding. I was a little nervous for the kids when we arrived and saw the cliff beside the cottage but the fully gated deck was so convenient to keep the 2 toddlers in. The trampoline and beach were great for them also! My husband and I spent the second half of our week at the cottage alone for our honeymoon. It was SO private. The only time we saw anyone was when we were hanging out on the dock and a boat would pass by. The cottage is situated on a point so you cannot see any other cottages unless you venture off through the treeline away from the main use areas or if you were to hang out in the driveway. The only downfall of the cottage was all the stairs to go to the dock/beach area but necessary for such an amazing view. I would definitely recommend What a View cottage to anyone. I am hoping one day down the line, we can return to this cottage.

Perched on top of the highest part of a very clean, quiet and perfect sized lake. This big beam constructed cottage is definitely a must for families looking to escape the busy city life and immerse in the best of cottage living. The natural rock faces, tall trees and clear lake water are out of Cottage Life magazine. The Cottage is clean, modern with a natural rustic beam flair and feel. The views are scenic and peaceful. The dock and beach area are open and large. You can go down 45 stairs or you can use the sloping road to walk down to the lake. You can bring your own boat and easily dock it. We did not want to leave. Highly recommended if you want the best of the Canadian cottage experience.
