Haliburton Highlands Rail Trail

The Haliburton Highlands Rail Trail is an old railroad track that has been recommissioned for scenic hiking, biking, and occasional ATV usage. The trail is 35 kilometres and connects the towns of Haliburton and Kinmount. This easy to moderate hike incorporates meandering rivers, beautiful waterfalls, iconic bridges, and the remnants of an old chemical plant for those into industrial photography. 

Glebe Park

Glebe Park offers 175 acres of forested rolling hills and approximately 20 kilometres of hiking trails. This moderate level trail is characterized by the dedication of the community to maintain it. Located along the scenic trails are a unique collection of sculptures to be enjoyed by passersby. Glebe Park is also home to the Haliburton Museum, which features historical displays that tell the story of how Haliburton came to be.

Ridge Trail System

The Ridge Trail System is an ambitious hike that rewards it's challengers with quintessential and picturesque vistas from the perch of several lookouts. Considered to be the backbone of the Algonquin Highlands trail system, Ridge Trail provides a backcountry experience for those seeking a more rugged adventure. This matrix consists of several other trails that support the system, combining for over 23.5 kilometres and ranging from .7 to 8 kilometres. Keep in mind that this is a linear trail, so be sure to arrange a pick up if you don't want to double back.
