Ice Skating Rinks
Most ice skating rinks in the Haliburton Highlands are unsupervised and maintained by community volunteers. Use your best judgment, and do not skate on the rinks that are thawing, wet, or full of snow. Since there is no supervision, we highly recommend wearing helmets while skating. Minden Hills Area
The Minden Hills outdoor rink is available for recreational skating only on a first-come, first-served basis.

Dawson Hamilton Memorial Rink at the SG Nesbitt Memorial Arena at 55 Parkside Street. You can find the rink behind the arena at the lower baseball diamonds.
Dysart et al
The rinks in Dysart et al. are available for recreational skating.

Algonquin Highlands
If you are interested in skating at night, we recommend heading to the rinks in the Algonquin Highlands area. These rinks are open from sunrise to 11 pm and include lights so that you can skate after sunset:

Ice Skating Trail
Take a day trip to Arrowhead Provincial Park and visit one of Ontario’s most popular winter attractions. This 1.3km Ontario ice skating trail winds through a snow-covered forest, offering a picturesque skating experience.
