All-Season Cottage Rentals was founded in 2000 with a simple mission: to connect cottage owners with unused weeks to visitors seeking the comfort, charm, and authenticity of a private waterfront retreat. What began with just 12 cottages has grown into a carefully curated collection of more than 120 properties throughout the Haliburton Highlands. Today, we are proud to be recognized for our premium executive rentals, trusted management services, and our commitment to creating memorable experiences for both guests and owners.

The company was established by Janice Bishop, who first discovered the Haliburton Highlands in the late 1980s while working in tourism marketing. Captivated by the region’s natural beauty and its growing reputation as a four-season destination, she built All-Season Cottage Rentals on a foundation of personal service and deep local knowledge. In 2012, her son J.T. Lowes joined the business, bringing more than 20 years of hospitality experience. By 2017, J.T. had assumed day-to-day operations, and in 2023 he formally took the reins following Janice’s retirement. Today, J.T. continues to uphold the company’s tradition of exceptional service while also shaping its future as a leader in the short-term rental industry.
