A perfect weekend

by Monica Stanciu
We were a group of 7 adults who spent the 2022 Thanksgiving weekend at the Granite Ridge cottage. This cottage is everyone's dream: from cleanliness, modern decor and amenities, entertaining, location... and really good internet in the main building. The views are spectacular.. The contemporary and spacious kitchen is equipped with everything you would think and then some extras ( just read the description). Beds are very comfortable, there are plenty of towels, for indoor and hot tub, comfortable outdoor chairs... too many things to list. We plan to come back next year, for a longer stay. It is an expensive cottage, but you get your money worth.
Thanks for your review. We look forward to having your group back again next Thanksgiving!

Private Oasis at the Lake

by Anne West
The "cottage" blew us away! The pictures and videos on the website do not lie! This is a beautiful, modern house on a private, quiet bay of Haliburton Lake. The bedrooms were gorgeous and spacious. The bathrooms were pristine and huge, also. We enjoyed the amenities of the kitchen including a large refrigerator, wine fridge, abundance of glassware/dishes/cutlery, etc. Everything was in fine working order. The main attribute of the house is the multiple areas to hang out with views. We enjoyed the great room with the floor to ceiling windows, the master bedroom views (although the absence of blinds/curtains hinders sleeping in ;), the screened in room, etc. The outdoor is well designed also with many areas to hang out: the deck, the hot tub, the dock, point with fire pit, small dock by watercraft with muskoka chairs. All very private and beautiful. The internet was okay but not the high speed of the city (we were able to check emails, etc.). We had no cell reception at the house but some of us had one bar down at the dock. The water temperature in June was better than expected in the low 70s. Two members of our family were road cyclists and the location was great for doing some picturesque hill rides (the cottage is located on a packed gravel section of the road but less than 1km from where it turns to tarmac). One rainy day we drove 15 minutes to the Eagle Lake Country Market where they had a large selection of products including baked goods, groceries, deli, ready cooked meals, LCBO, beer, gluten-free items, etc. Overall, we would highly recommend this fabulous vacation home!!

Absolutely wonderful!

by Lidia
Wow! This cottage is a dream! Visited for Thanksgiving with our adult children and their spouses and this cottage is definitely impressive. It comes "fully loaded" there is nothing that you need -every need has been thought of from the fully equipped kitchen and its amenities to the incredibly comfortable furniture and beds in both the main house and the bunkie. The amount of space for everyone is incredible - you can be together as much as you want, and can also have privacy whenever you wish. It is a perfect layout both indoors and out. The indoor and outdoor spaces have been thoughtfully designed and it is pleasure to be here. The views from each of the many windows are spectacular. I was able to watch a Northern Gannet flying around the lakefront each morning without even getting out of bed! Our hardest decision was whether to enjoy the outdoor fire pit down by the lake, or lounge in the incredible Muskoka room by the fireplace! The cottage is extremely private and set in a bit of a cove, so it was fun to get out in the canoe/kayaks in this more protected cove when it was extremely rough on the bigger part of the lake. I can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our weekend in this little bit of paradise. Thank you to the owners for letting us share this incredible property.
