Relaxing and Roomy!
Such a lovely cottage with plenty of room for our family of 7 to either enjoy time on our own or all together. Swimming was great and nice outdoor space for games both in front of the house and down by the dock.

Very beautiful setting
We had such a great time! The view was beautiful from the cottage and the space was excellent. Fire pits were great. It would have been perfect if the shallow part of the water had a sandy entrance without weeds. The space was exactly as mentioned. It makes sense to go when there is sunlight... unlike us in the dark where Google maps stops. However we were prepared with the instructions that were provided correctly.

Beautiful location, beautiful lake

Staying at this cottage in the winter-time is really special! The lake is frozen, so you can go skiing, running and hiking across the lake for miles! The dreamy forest surrounding the cottage is beautiful and quiet. The cottage is also really nice, there are lots of board games, and if you like cooking, the kitchen has everything! I would suggest making sure that all the dishes, glasses and silverware were thoroughly washed though, as we found that these items were not very clean. Also, I would suggest bringing your own blankets - other than pillows on the bed, the beds didn't have anything else. Overall, we loved our stay at Stones Throw Cottage!

We are happy to hear you enjoyed your winter stay at our Stone's Throw Cottage.Unfortunately, because of COVID, the cottage owners are not providing comforters for guests this year out of an abundance of caution. During 2020 and 2021, the owners have requested all guests bring their linens and comforters as indicated on the cottage information sheet and the cottages household rules. For all bookings in 2022 and beyond, the owners have resumed supplying comforters for all beds. We are also happy to update that the owners have replaced their dishwasher.
