Spacious and many amenities

The king size bed with ensuite was great! And the 2 bathrooms were a big plus. Enjoyed all the seating areas inside and out and the big kitchen. We liked being close to the water. Mark, our neighbour was very helpful helping us settle in.

Relaxing!

The cottage is located close to Haliburton, so that was very convenient. It is very comfortable, and the ceiling fans kept us cool during a very hot week. The king bed is super comfy (and I am picky), but my wife found the queen a bit hard to sleep on. It was very quiet with little traffic on the lake besides the occasional boat that would that would fish in the bay area. I loved the chairs on the dock, but if it became too hot, there was a perfect area near the shore that was shaded. Wifi was excellent, so if you care about your TV or movies, they had a solid setup. Seating is comfortable, and the appliances were great. We took the kayaks out around the lake and found that it is very shallow for many of the cottagers, which we thought could be an issue, but the water off the dock is waist high and then gets over your head about 10 feet out. We also saw a lot of wildlife, which was great. All in all, this was a relaxing place and we plan to go again at the same time, hopefully in the last week of July.

Clean, nicely decorated, and well equipped cottage

This cottage has some strong advantages going for it. It's very clean and there's no evidence of it being an owner's cottage so you're not battling for fridge, cabinet and closet space. There's certainly been care in the decorating as the aesthetics are cottage-style without being kitschy. It's a very neutral and pleasant. The cottage has a sandy entrance where a boat launch once was, which i was great for our water-loving dog. Swimming is accessed via the dock. The kayaks were very much enjoyed! The cottage is located in a bay, so there's some noise from area cottages. Overall a good experience.
