We have come back to Tranquil Sands for a number of years. We love the location and the property is great for a vacation. The addition of the deck just upped the game at the cottage. Great amenities and location. We will definitely be back

Amazing Cottage
The cottage is great. The sand beach is rare in that area so it was very nice to have. The new deck is amazing to relax on after swimming and to eat your lunch or dinner. The screened in iporch area is great to play board games and such. In the evening. The internet is ok for small things but don’t try to stream movies or play online games. The tv reception with bell is great and the dvd player works well. We rarely had the tv on though since the beach and water are great. Water is clear and soft bottom sand. No weeds to be found. The BBQ is a Weber which was nice since I have one at home and they are a great BBQ to cook on. The fire pit they have is very nice and keeps the fire in check. I would definitely recommend this cottage to anyone.

We have rented here for several years and always enjoy our time at the lake. The location is perfect for those sunny days to enjoy the beach area. The area is sheltered nicely and the perfect view of the setting sun! The cottage is well equipped and comfortable to stay with the amenities anyone would need.

We love returning to this cottage. I have been on Kennisis lake all my life and love to spend time on vacation there. We love the sand beach and the family enjoys the water and tranquil nature. The neighbors are friendly and the whole cottage experience is wonderful.

What a wonderful way to connect with family after being separated by covid for so long!
We all have nothing but good things to say about our stay at Tranquil Sands. The cottage was lovely and spacious..the beach was amazing...lots of toys for the kids to play with. We loved the screened-in porch..ate every meal out there. My family from Nova Scotia felt it was well worth the drive! We definately intend on returning next year!

Another great year at Tranquil Sands

We had another great summer week at Tranquil Sands. We enjoy the beach and the diving raft very much and the jumping rocks at the Blueberry Islands are not far away. The cottage has lots of space with big common areas for the family to be together as well as enough bedrooms that everyone in our family can have their privacy when they want it.

Perfect family cottage getaway
We were extremely pleased with the cleanliness and layout of the cottage. It was perfect for our family with small children. We all enjoyed the sandy beach with shallow entry into the lake plus all the extras were a big hit such as the swim up raft, lily pad, boat etc. The neighbours were fantastic. Very enjoyable stay and would go back again!

Beautiful sandy beach and lovely cottage!

My family stayed at Tranquil Sands for the first time. Although the weather was cold and rainy for most of the week, we made the best of the wonderful cottage, beach, and boating equipment! The kids loved taking the paddle boat around the bay, and we did a small trip out to Blueberry Island in the rain! The camp fire spot was perfect, and the interior of the cottage was very clean, modern, and spacious for our family of 9 (5 adults, 4 children). The kids loved the bunk beds and other bedding options to play forts. We would definitely like to come back again for a warmer, sunnier week in the future!

Another great stay with our family at Tranquil Sands. This was our 3 year spending a week at the cottage.. A great space to spend time together as a family with lots to do on the Lake. The kids love the swimming, tubing, fishing, snorkelling and especially jumping off the rocks on Blueberry Islands.We all look forward to being back again next year! Thanks!!

Our best summer holiday yet!

The perfect shoreline for small children and beach-style relaxation

Having small children at a cottage can always add a level of stress to a vacation but the beach style waterfront with a VERY gradual slope was wonderful to reduce that stress. Watching the toddlers sit in the water and dig in the sand was amazing. The cottage is well equipped, spacious and gives you the feeling of being "up North". Dining for more than 8 can work but takes some maneuvering on the deck. We plan on returning here again next year! J&M A

We stayed at Tranquil Sands the second week of July/13. The lake was beautiful and the beach was very nice with a gradual entrance into the water. It was a sand bottom and our two grandchildren, aged 2 & 2 1/2 had a great time. The only down side was getting to the beach...you either had to go down some steep stairs into the basement and there was a walkout, or out the front door and around the back and down to the beach. Other than that the cottage and beach were perfect. There are 4 spacious bedrooms and two clean bathrooms. We did have a problem maneuvering the patio table and chairs around so we could all fit on the outdoor patio, but it was no big deal. The outdoor hammock was a perfect place for naps for the kids and there was a brand new swim raft for sunbathing or jumping off. If you have a large or extended family, this cottage is great if you all want to stay together!

Great family cottage, especially for young children.

We were 3 families, with 3 kids. The cottage is spacious, and comfortable. It was so nice to simply go in the back, and be able to go swimming. The only word of caution is to pack everything you'll need for your stay, as the drive into town is a bit of a hassle-very curvy,hilly roads. Overall a great family cottage, quiet, peaceful, and great for swimming.

Amazing Time!

The cottage and beach here is amazing for small children. We had 4 children 6 and under there, so it was perfect for them. The cottage was very clean and well keep. It had everything you could think of inside. Only complaint is the water pressure was very poor in the cottage for showers. The raft and paddle boat came in great for the children. The lake is beautiful. We will definitely be coming up again.

The kids, dogs and all of the adults had a great time with plenty of space to spread out and relax. The large sandy beachfront was perfect for small children and dogs. We also loved the deck on the main floor where everyone was safely contained away from the water. Great amenities, and we plan to come to Tranquil Sands again.

Bad weather

We rented this cottage last year and had a blast. We had terrible weather this year at the cottage only 1 full day at the beach. We left two days early this year due to tge weather and the kids being astuck inside for the whole week. The was barely any cell phone reception. There was also a mouse issue in the cottage this year. They need to buy traps.

Everything you need for a relaxing getaway.

Our stay was exactly what we had hoped for - cottage is beautiful, clean and well equipped. Very open with lots of room The sandy gradual entry beach is the best we've ever had. Perfect spot for little ones. Philip (owner) was wonderful when we called him with a few random questions. We will definitely be back.
